This role is suitable for an ophthalmic assistant or technician, medicine/health undergraduate or someone in optometry retail keen to be involved in ophthalmology.Previous experience working in an ophthalmology or optometry practice is not essential.
Candidates with experience in health care and a willingness to adapt and learn ophthalmic skills are welcome to apply.Insight Eye Surgery is located in Noosaville providing excellent, quality eye care in an environment where patients feel secure and cared for.




We operate a modern ophthalmology practice with state-of-the-art imaging equipment and medical management software.
We are friendly and take pride in our work.Clinical responsibilities will includePerforming preliminary eye exams and tests including use of imaging equipment:Visual Acuity, Dominance testingIntraocular Pressure measurementOptical coherence tomography (OCT), Humphrey Visual Field machine etc.Consultation with the patient, performing measurements, screening tests, taking a medical historySupporting the ophthalmologist with minor proceduresWork-up patients pre- and post surgery (including biometry, topography)The successful candidate will haveCommitment to excellence in patient careExcellent rapport and patient relationship building skillsPride in their work and the service they provideThe interest and desire to learn new skillsProfessional and immaculate personal presentationStrong communication and interpersonal skills
