Workfast is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle & Mobile Plant Mechanic to join a leading resource recovery and heavy industrial operation in Swanbank, QLD.

We are actively seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle & Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our maintenance team.
You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining heavy mobile plant using a fully equipped service truck, helping keep equipment operating safely and efficiently across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a fully equipped service truck around site
Refuel heavy mobile plant and equipment
Carry out grease and lubrication servicing
Top up engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant and other fluids
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
Inspect machinery for wear, damage and maintenance requirements
Replace air filters and carry out routine servicing
Assist with minor mechanical repairs and maintenance




Complete daily pre-start inspections on the service truck
Maintain accurate service records and report equipment defects
Follow environmental procedures, including spill response and SDS requirements
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise equipment downtime
What You Bring to the Team:
HR Driver's Licence (Automatic minimum)
Previous experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic
Experience servicing heavy mobile plant, earthmoving equipment or heavy vehicles
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full Australian working rights
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
A solid commitment to workplace safety and reliability
