Location of workplace: Tweed Heads warehouse / officeRole: Full time (Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 4.30pm)About the role:The Buyer & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining healthy stock levels and supporting business profitability.This role owns the end-to-end inventory planning and purchasing process, working closely with the Product & Brand Manager, Operations, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure inventory aligns with sales forecasts, promotional activity, product launches, and seasonal demand.The role is highly analytical and operational, focused on forecasting, replenishment, supplier coordination, inventory optimisation, and reporting.Required skills and experience:2+ years experience in buying, inventory planning, merchandise planning or supply chain coordinationStrong analytical and numerical skillsAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets capabilityExperience managing purchase orders and supplier relationshipsStrong attention to detailExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesWhat this role involves:Inventory Planning & ForecastingDevelop and maintain accurate inventory forecasts across all product categoriesMonitor stock levels, sales trends, sell-through rates and stock coverIdentify replenishment requirements and purchasing timelinesEnsure inventory availability aligns with promotional calendars,



product launches and seasonal demandAnalyse historical sales data to improve forecasting accuracyManage stock ageing reports and identify risks relating to excess inventory or stock shortagesRecommend clearance, markdown or liquidation strategies for slow-moving inventoryRaise purchase orders with approved suppliersManage order timelines from placement through to deliveryTrack production schedules and shipment datesEnsure purchasing decisions align with sales forecasts and cash flow requirementsMonitor supplier performance and delivery accuracyLiaise with suppliers regarding:Purchase ordersDelaysProduct specificationsInventory ControlMaintain accurate inventory records across all systemsConduct regular stock reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesWork closely with Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure inventory accuracySupport annual and cycle stocktakesMonitor inventory movements including:Incoming stockReturnsDamaged stockWrite-offsTransfersReporting & AnalysisMonitor key inventory KPIsProvide recommendations to improve inventory efficiency and reduce stock holding riskPresent inventory insights to leadership teamProduce weekly inventory reports including:Stock on HandWeeks/Months of CoverSell Through RatesProduct Launch SupportCoordinate inventory requirements for recent product launchesEnsure launch quantities align with forecast demandWork closely with the Product & Brand Manager to manage launch timelinesSupport range reviews and SKU rationalisation projectsAssist with product lifecycle management from launch through to clearance
