Position Overview
VBP Interiors – an Australian joinery and interior fit-out specialist delivering tailored solutions across commercial, retail, healthcare, hospitality and residential environments.
The company combines skilled craftsmanship, precision manufacturing and end-to-end project delivery to produce functional, high-quality interiors.
As a Joiner at VBP Interiors, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, finishing and installing custom joinery and interior fit-out components.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Interpret shop drawings, plans, specifications and job instructions to determine materials, dimensions and production requirements.
Measure, mark, cut, shape and prepare timber, laminates and manufactured board products using hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
Manufacture and assemble custom joinery components, including cabinetry, counters, shelving, wall panels, display units and fitted furniture.
Construct joinery using suitable joints, fixings, adhesives and assembly methods to meet project specifications and quality standards.
Fit and adjust hardware and accessories, including hinges, drawer runners, handles,



locks, brackets and other specialised fittings.
Complete sanding, edging, trimming, laminating and other finishing work to achieve accurate dimensions and a high-quality finish.
Install joinery and interior fit-out components on site, ensuring items are level, aligned, securely fixed and finished correctly.
Inspect completed work, identify defects or inconsistencies and carry out repairs, adjustments or modifications where required.
Coordinate with supervisors, project teams, installers and other trades to support production schedules and installation deadlines.
Operate and maintain tools, machinery and equipment safely, and keep workshop and site work areas clean and organised.
Complete job records, material usage information and quality checks in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
Relevant qualification.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Joiner.
Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings, plans and technical specifications.
Practical experience using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools safely and accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Good communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $79,000 – $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
