Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our workshop and warehouse team.This is a hands‐on role ideal for someone with robust mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with engines, tools, and machinery in a fast‐paced environment.About the RoleAs a Mechanical Trade Assistant, you will support our technicians with the assembly, testing, servicing, and preparation of generators.
You will also assist with general workshop and warehouse duties, ensuring equipment is prepared to a high standard and delivered safely to customers.Assist with assembly, disassembly, and testing of generatorsSupport mechanics and technicians with servicing and repairsCarry out pre‐delivery inspections (PDI) on generatorsGeneral workshop and warehouse duties, including housekeepingLoading and unloading equipment using forklifts Assist with receiving, dispatching,
and stock managementFollow all workplace health and safety proceduresOccasional customer interaction and basic service supportStrong mechanical aptitude and interest in enginesExperience working with tools and mechanical equipmentAbility to work unsupervised and follow instructionsPhysically fit and able to safely lift up to 30kgGood attention to detail and quality workmanshipForklift licence (or willingness to obtain)Highly RegardedExperience with diesel or petrol enginesKnowledge of generators, compressors, or similar machineryPrevious trade assistant or workshop experienceBasic electrical knowledge (12V / 24V systems)Strong communication and teamwork skillsPositive, reliable, and "can-do" attitudeWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experienceFriendly and supportive team environmentOpportunity to develop mechanical skills and grow within the businessStable role within a growing generator company
