This role requires flexible working hours across Monday to Saturday between7:00am and 6:00pm, including weekends and holiday periods.
Minimum availability requirements:
Must be availableFridays and Saturdays between 8:00am and 6:00pm.




Must havea minimum of 20 hours availability per weekwithin Monday to Saturday, 7:00am - 6:00pm
In this role you will:
Arrange, support, and supervise contact between children and young people and their birth families.
Transport children and young people and their carers to appointments
Support delivery of groups, including carer support groups and activity groups for children and young people
Ensure all records/case notes are accurate and maintained in line with service, legislative, and Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) requirements, including the electronic casework system.
Record and discuss any concerns around child safety with a Caseworker and/or the TeamLeader
Make "risk of significant harm' reports to the Community Services Helpline when deemed necessary in consultation with the Team Leader or Manager.
Work Collaboratively with the OOHC Team
Ensure respectful Communication.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Maintain professional relationships.
Follow appropriate reporting lines
Perform other duties as requested by manager
We are interested in people who have:
A minimum of TAFE qualification Certificate III (or equivalent) in a welfare-related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge,



understanding and some experience of working with families with complex needs.
Experience in working with of and ability to appropriately respond to the needs of people from all communities including Indigenous; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD); and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT).
An understanding of child protection and child development
Robust verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise competing demands and meeting deadlines while working independently.
Possession of a current driver's license and working with children's check.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (i.e., lifting children)
Fluency in a second relevant community language as well as English
First Aid Certificate.
