Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.
In December ****, we commenced providing health, mental health and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network.
Our team, which includes nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals, offer a wide range of healthcare services to detainees, such as triaging, medication, wound management, immunisation, and other clinical procedures.
HCA also introduced a Virtual Care Centre (VCC), a 24/7 service that provides remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations, helping to enhance onsite care for detainees.
Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
Provide comprehensive, person-centred mental health carethrough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment in collaboration with detainees and the multidisciplinary team.
Promote culturally sensitive, safe, and respectful carethat upholds the dignity, rights, and individual needs of people in detention.
Contribute to continuous improvement of mental health services, including participating in policy development, quality initiatives, and performance reviews to enhance clinical outcomes for detainees.




Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring coordinated, multidisciplinary care and maintaining high standards of professional conduct to support Healthcare Australia's values and reputation.

Let's talk about you!
You are an AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted) with at least five years of clinical experience, including hands-on patient care in mental health or alcohol and other drugs (AOD) in an operational (non-Telehealth) setting.
You hold a postgraduate qualification in mental health and/or AOD (AQF-recognised) and bring strong prioritisation, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changing circumstances while delivering high-quality care that meets the evolving needs of detainees.
