About Us
Urban Precision is a Sydney-based custom joinery company delivering full-spec cabinetry solutions across residential and bespoke projects.
We combine detailed design, strong production systems, and a focus on precision to deliver high-quality outcomes.
As our workload continues to grow, we're looking to bring on someone who can take ownership of design and drafting to support our design-to-manufacture workflow.
The Role
You will be responsible for converting client briefs and site measurements into accurate joinery designs, shop drawings, cut lists, and hardware schedules that are ready for production and CNC processing.
We use Mozaik in-house, so experience with the software is highly regarded.
However, we are open to experienced drafters coming from Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Pytha, or similar platforms, provided you can quickly adapt to Mozaik.
You will work closely with the director to align on design intent, constraints, and project requirements, then take ownership of producing detailed, production-ready documentation with minimal supervision.
This role offers flexibility for the right candidate, including part-time, casual, or remote arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate joinery designs and detailed shop drawings from client briefs and site measurements
Generate cut lists, hardware schedules, and material requirements for production
Ensure drawings align with site conditions and flag issues early
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on design details and revisions
Maintain organised and up-to-date project documentation
Identify opportunities to improve drafting accuracy and production efficiency
Skills & Experience
Experience with Mozaik (preferred) or similar joinery design software
Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and hardware systems
Ability to interpret site measurements and architectural drawings accurately
High attention to detail and accountability for documentation quality
Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly
Exposure to CNC workflows or design-for-manufacture principles (highly regarded)
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on experience
Adaptable working arrangements (part-time, casual, with pathway to full-time)
Involvement across the full project lifecycle from design through to production
Prospect to grow within a structured, systems-driven business
Supportive team environment with regular team events
