About the role:
Our Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) Plus program supports people with severe mental health conditions to live and participate in the community.
We assist up to 10 participants live in their own self-contained accommodation located on one site.
In this role, you will be supporting them to live independently by helping with daily living, appointments, routines, and building confidence.
Location and hours:
Staff in the program work both in the community and at the site in Kempsey.
This program runs 24/7, so you'll have access to a range of shifts (including nights and weekends), allowing you to build a roster that suits your lifestyle.
To ensure consistency of service for our participants, we are looking for people who have availability to work a minimum of least 3 to 4 shifts a week.
About you: Selection criteria:
Certificate IV in Community Services or Mental Health or higher tertiary qualifications
Driver's Licence, Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid certificate.
Availability to work a variety of shifts including active nights, sleepovers and weekends
Computer literate with capacity to support others to access technology, use apps and input data to our database
Experience supporting people with complex mental health needs
Understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice
Knowledge of local services in the Kempsey region

The pay rate is SCHCDS Level 3 + penalties (This is approximately $48+/hour inc. casual loading)
