About the role: We are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Supervisor to lead and oversee drilling and blasting activities, ensuring secure, compliant and cost-effective outcomes across site operations.
Your key responsibilities: Manage drill and blast activities to meet safety, environmental and production requirementsLead and supervise crews and contractors, ensuring alignment with site standards and KPI'sCoordinate and deliver pre-start meetings, shift handovers and critical operational communicationsMonitor blasting performance, analyse outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with all statutory requirements, including explosives legislation and site proceduresOversee drill pattern quality, stemming activities and blast execution standards Conduct inspections, audits and field supervision to maintain safe and efficient work practicesManage consumables and costs,



driving efficiency and minimising waste Coach and mentor team members to build capability and improve performance outcomes About you: Demonstrated experience in drill and blast within an open-cut coal mining environmentStrong leadership capability with the ability to coach, mentor and drive team performanceSound understanding of NSW explosives legislation, safety systems and statutory complianceProven ability to manage contractors, crews and competing operational prioritiesExperience with blast design, overburden and pre-strip blasting techniques highly regardedCurrent NSW Shotfirer Licence and relevant G competencies (G1, G2, G8, G9) preferredStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across operational teamsSolid planning and organisational skills with a focus on continuous improvement Why Mudgee?
