Mechanical Fitter – SMP Project (September/October)
Custom Steel Fab is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team for an upcoming SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) project running throughout September and October.
This is a 6–8 week Project offering excellent conditions with flights, accommodation and meals provided.

3/1 roster (RDO on 14 day)
Flights, accommodation and meals provided
Competitive hourly rate
Casual position, possibly lead onto a full time position at completion of SMP project
Key Responsibilities
Carry out mechanical fitting activities in accordance with project requirements
Installation and assembly of mechanical equipment and components
Work safely within Custom Steef Fabs polices and procedures
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Perform project work to a high standard




Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow tradespeople to meet project deadlines
Working to QA documentation
About You
Alignment and soft foot knowledge
Previous experience working on SMP projects (highly regarded)
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Relevant Glencore site inductions and tickets (highly regarded)
