Description of the role:
We are looking for an experienced senior tax accountant wishing to join a successful, senior andhands‐on team combining technical excellence and innovation to deliver client success.
Working directly with the founding partners you will be an integral part of our growing team.
Your key responsibilities include:
Tax Compliance and Review:
Preparation ofincome tax returns, FBT returns, BAS/IAS, and annual tax reconciliations for companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed superannuation funds
Accounting forGroups, consolidated financial statements, transfer pricing adjustments
Ensure all deliverables meet ATO standards, internal quality controls, and statutory deadlines
Manage year‐end tax processes, including tax provisioning, distribution calculations, and trust resolutions
Technical Advisory & Issue Resolution:
Provide guidance on Income Tax, CGT, Division 7A, UPEs, trust streaming, small business concessions, GST, and Superannuation matters
Identify tax planning opportunities and support managers/partners in delivering advisory engagements
Research and interpret legislation, rulings, and case law to resolve complex client issues
Client Relationship Management:
Act as day‐to‐day contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring proactive communication and timely delivery
Presentation of tax positions, risks, and recommendations in clear, client‐friendly language
Support onboarding of new clients, including risk assessments and engagement documentation
Workflow, Quality & Risk Management:
Maintain compliance with firm policies, ATO requirements, and skilled standards
Assist with internal reviews, audit support, and ATO correspondence (reviews, objections, private rulings)
Leverage outsourced resourcesto ensure efficiency and promote client base growth and diversification
Leadership & Team Development:

Ability to work autonomously and delegate tasks
Assist with training sessions
Contribute to knowledge‐sharing initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' post qualified experienceinAUTax(public practice), knowledge ofUS & UK Tax beneficial
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to clearly explain technical concepts
Fast learner, high attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Strong knowledge of Australian tax law across Income Tax, CGT, GST, FBT, Trust and SMSF taxation
Experience reviewing complex tax returns and tax effect accounting
Ability to interpret legislation and apply tax rulings with precision
Experience with cross‐border tax issues, withholding tax, orTransfer Pricingwould be beneficial
Exposure to tax technology platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, HandiSoft,SalesForceCRM, Access Ledger,AccessTax,BGL, NowInfinity, Fathom,Claude Cowork)
Interest in automation, data integrity, and improving tax reporting systems
Demonstrated experience in managing workflow
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
