The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing and processing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
Repair, service, and overhaul pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, valves, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.




Complete scheduled maintenance activities in line with maintenance plans and site requirements.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new machinery.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders through the site's maintenance management system.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with workplace health and safety policies and food manufacturing standards.
The Candidate
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent) or currently seeking an apprenticeship opportunity to commence a career in Mechanical Fitting.
Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, processing, packaging, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
