We review, maintain, and remediate critical assets and infrastructure to deliver sovereign capability through world-class asset management, operations and maintenance, supporting the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) national security. We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team at Amberley RAAF base – South East Queensland.
The Role
Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be based at RAAF Amberley, supporting surrounding locations in the South East QLD region, with occasional regional travel. You will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians.
Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown workplace of fuel related assets and equipment
Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
Support subcontracted work packages as required
Support various sites in Brisbane with occasional travel to sites throughout Queensland
Rates
Level 1 - $47.07 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
Level 2 - $50.67 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $54.28 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($36.43 Weekly)
What you Need
Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
Experience within the defence fuels network or defence industry is highly regarded
Confined space and working at heights tickets are highly regarded
Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
Currently hold, or able to obtain, appropriate Defence Security Clearance
