About the role:
As a Mentor in our Workforce Australia (WFA)) team you will play a vital role in shaping the future of individuals seeking sustainable employment.
You will work one-on-one with customers to identify their strengths, remove barriers, and guide them through tailored action plans toward becoming job ready.
This is a dynamic role that blends relationship building, problem-solving, and goal setting, while also fostering strong connections with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create meaningful employment opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
Build strong, trusting relationships with customers to provide guidance, motivation and mentoring throughout their employment journey
Identify customer goals, strengths and challenges, and create targeted action plans to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
Conduct assessments to determine readiness for employment and identify training or support needs
Celebrate customer milestones and successes to keep motivation high
Collaborate with employers, community organisations, and industry partners to create and maintain opportunities for employment
Maintain accurate and compliant records in line with contractual and organisational requirements
Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and support continuous improvement initiatives




Manage your portfolio effectively to meet targets and deliver results in a fast-paced workplace
What we're looking for:
Proven ability to build rapport and trust quickly with people from diverse backgrounds
High level of resilience and ability to adapt your approach to suit different situations
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Understanding of employment readiness and the steps required to achieve sustainable outcomes
