Description
The role
The Design & Delivery division is undertaking a significant digitisation program aimed at enhancing compliance and strengthening risk controls currently managed manually.
Each project has transparent objectives to ensure new workflows, decision engines and platform designs achieve specified SLA and GICOP compliance, endorsed by the Risk and Compliance team.
This role will be pivotal in safeguarding these objectives throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
The Governance & Compliance Analyst will ensure all governance and compliance requirements are rigorously met across the digitisation program within C&A; Design and Delivery, Motor & Home Claims.
This role is critical in embedding robust controls, reporting on regulatory adherence, providing advice to Change Delivery teams on GICOP-compliant solution designs and ensuring appropriate reporting is in place to track compliance of Solution Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Integration & Oversight: Ensure governance and compliance controls are incorporated into all Design & Delivery projects, aligned to regulatory obligations and internally defined controls including GICOP standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Assurance: Work with project leads to integrate controls in a timely way, gather progress updates and obtain assurance that compliance requirements are met without impeding project velocity.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain auditable documentation of all implemented controls and prepare data-driven reports to regulatory bodies post-implementation, demonstrating automation and improvement of controls against predefined targets.
Control Development & Continuous Improvement: Own the design, development and monitoring of controls across the claims digitisation portfolio, capturing initial requirements and conducting post-implementation reviews to improve accuracy and reliability over time.
Risk Accountabilities
This role is risk-focused, within the first line of defence who are responsible for providing expert advice and support to Line 1 on the application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
This includes testing the effectiveness of controls, identifying gaps in risk management practices, and recommending improvements to ensure alignment with the RMF.
The key elements of Line 1 Risk Support:
Expert Advice and Support: Provide guidance on risk management matters, support incident and breach reporting,

and assist with risk assessments and regulatory change activities.
Testing and Evaluation: Assess and test the effectiveness of controls, identify areas for improvement and assist with risk monitoring and governance reporting.
Alignment with RMF: Ensure Line 1 risk management activities are consistent with the organisation's overall framework.
Investigation & Remediation: Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis and guide remediation for timely resolution.
