Role Description:
The CDD Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Capability Manager Representatives (CMR)/Sponsors for Precision Loitering Munitions (PLM) projects through the development of the Capability Definition Documentation (CDD) suite of documents for a range of PLM projects.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development of:
Operational Concept Documents (OCD)
Functional Performance Specifications (FPS)
Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
Representing UASPO and the CMR in workshops to develop use cases, OCD scenarios, operational needs and functional requirements.
This function is critical to UASPO and to the success of PLM projects by establishing the functional baseline in the form of an FPS for inclusion in both the draft and executed contracts with Industry.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or equivalent
Working Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System
Experience in the development/drafting of CDD suite
Working knowledge of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) elements
Desirable Requirements
Formal qualifications as a Weapons engineer or similar
Experience in Guided Weapons, Capability Management and/or Test & Evaluation
Demonstrable system awareness of Uncrewed Aerial Systems
Experience with CASA and specifically DASA UAS regulations
Experience with UAS
Required Security Clearance Level: NV1
Location: Brisbane OR Canberra
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
