Position Purpose
The Production Managerwill manage all aspects of food manufacturing to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
This is a hands‐on leadership role accountable for production planning, compliance, cost control, team performance, and continuous improvement.
Reports to: General Manager / Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily/weekly production schedules to meet OTIF delivery.
Lead, supervise, and develop production staff; build a high-performance culture.
Ensure compliance withHACCP, GMP, FSANZ, WHSand customer standards.
Monitor/improve KPIs:OEE, yield, waste reduction, labour efficiency.
DriveLean / Continuous Improvementto boost productivity and reduce cost.




Oversee preventative maintenance and equipment reliability with maintenance partners.
Manage raw material & packaging supply in partnership with procurement/logistics.
Maintain documentation: batch records, SOPs, training, and quality files.
Lead site audits, customer inspections, and regulatory visits.
Provide regular KPI, safety, and quality reports to senior management.
Skills & Experience
5+ years leadership in food or beverage manufacturing (production operations).
Proven knowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergen management, FSANZ regs, and WHS.
Strong people leadership with coaching/mentoring focus and a hands‐on style.
ERP/MRP proficiency and production data analysis/reporting capability.
Demonstrated success implementing Lean/CI and achieving cost reductions.
Robust communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable: WHS or Lean/CI certification.
