Must Have Skills
Kafka broker architecture, schema registry, Kafka Connect, consumer groups, Confluent Platform / Confluent Cloud experience
Eventing standards and governance guardrails/enforcement/development; event‑driven use‑case design, development, and implementation (outside of Kafka platform architecture)
Cloud infrastructure: GCP Compute, GCS (or relevant experience in AWS or Azure)
Monitoring and observability: Current Relic, Sumo Logic (or relevant experience in Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, etc.)
Platform access controls and security concepts: ACL/RBAC controls, OAuth 2.0 client credentials Flow, mTLS, TLS, certificate management, secrets management

Nice to Have Skills
Scripting & Automation: Shell/Bash, Python
Application debugging: Java

The requirement is for engineers experienced with Kafka (specifically Confluent Platform but preferably Cloud), who have experience designing, building, and supporting event‑driven services, and have a solid background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE.
