Responsibilities include:
Conducting workplace inspections and behavioural safety observations.
Participation in pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Assisting with hazard identification, risk assessments and SWMS.
Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.
Delivering and assisting with safety inductions.
Maintaining WHS records, registers and compliance documentation.
Assisting with contractor onboarding and compliance.
Supporting internal audits and continuous improvement initatives.
Providing practical WHS advise to employees and contractors.
About You
We are looking for someone you enjoys working with people, has a practical approach to safety and wants to continue developing in their career.
You will ideally have:
Current IV in Work Health and Safety (or currently studying)
Current Drivers Licence
First Aid
Construction White Card (desirable)
Experience with construction, civil infrastructure or heavy industry (preferred)
Sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Good computer skills,
including Microsoft Office and electronic WHS systems
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive attitude with a genuine commitment to workplace safety
