OWNDAYS is an international optical retail company founded in Tokyo, Japan in **** and celebrated a milestone of 500 stores in **** across Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Netherlands.
The brand aims to process a pair of quality glasses within 20 minutes from optometry to delivery.
All glasses displayed instore are original brands, designed and manufactured by OWNDAYS that come with UV protection and dust-resistant coating.
In Sydney, OWNDAYS operates in four notable locations and is renowned in the eyewear sector as a brand dedicated to providing high-quality and stylish eyewear solutions to our customers.

We are currently looking for an experienced Optometrist for 2 days a week to join us in two locations: Saturday in Burwood & Sunday at Sydney CBD.
OPTOMETRIST – ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Optometrist at OWNDAYS, you will play a crucial role in our mission to offer outstanding eye care services.
Key accountabilities
Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess and diagnose visual issues, ocular health, and refractive errors.
Prescription and Treatment: Provide precise eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, along with treatment recommendations when necessary.
Customer Consultation: Offer expert advice and personalised recommendations to customers regarding eyewear selection, lens options,



and lens coatings.
Lens Fitting: Accurately measure and fit lenses into chosen frames, ensuring optimal vision and comfort.
Ocular Health Education: Educate customers on eye health, hygiene and the proper care of eyewear.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of patient information, examination findings, and prescriptions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with our optical sales team and other staff members to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all optometric equipment is well-maintained and calibrated for accurate diagnoses and measurements.
Qualifications and experience
Optometry Degree: Hold an Optometry degree and a valid optometry license.
Clinical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing various eye conditions.
Customer-Centric: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‐centric approach.
Meticulous: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate prescriptions and lens fitting.
Team Player: Collaborative spirit to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest optometric techniques and technologies.
Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethics in patient care and interactions.
