RESPONSIBILITIES :-
detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts
dismantle and remove engines, systems and other components, and checking parts
repair and replace worn and defective parts
perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups
reassemble engines and parts after being repaired
rest and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers
inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates.
preparing cost and time estimates for work done
repairing and replacing faulty vehicle parts
performing test drives to check repairs
carrying out scheduled servicing and maintenance
updating vehicle service records
installing and fitting current vehicle accessories
maintaining a database of spare parts in the repair garage
