We are looking for an experienced Survey Drafter (CAD) to join our team.
The Survey Drafter is responsible for the completion of design drawings, layouts and survey reports to ensure that the drawings are in compliance with the Edmonton Valley Line West Standards and Project Agreement.
Main Responsibilities
Review design drawings and prepare layout data using various software packages, such as Civil 3D, Trimble, Gedo
Meet deadlines by Prioritizing survey tasks and assign layout data to the surveyor
Process field data and prepare survey reports and/or as-built drawings
Calculate quantities for various scopes of work
Establish working relationships with designers, contractors, surveyors and office staff
Collaborate with designers to ensure accuracy of drawings
Liaises with field staff to problem solve and mitigate risk
Participate in field surveys as required
Prepare alignment, profiles, sections, corridors using Civil3D
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements




Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience along with a solid Survey background
Post-secondary education, Civil Technology diploma preferred
Strong computer skills including a proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and experience customizing AutoCAD, scripts, tools, and menus
Basic understanding of EVLW and municipality standards is considered an asset
Experience with highway, rail and other civil structures and utilities
Ability to read and draft Survey, Boundary and ROW plans, and interpret civil engineering drawings and site plans
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment
Primary work location is the Project site for Marigold Infrastructure Partners
Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions.
