Key Responsibilities
Checking freshness of food and ingredients.
Assisting executive chefs in day-to-day kitchen operations and a commitment to delivering high quality food and service to the client.
Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and other food preparation workers.
Developing recipes and determining how to present food-Planning menus and ensuring uniform serving sizes and quality of meals.
Inspecting supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
Hiring,



training and supervising cooks and other food preparation workers.
Ordering and maintaining inventory of food and supplies.
Monitoring sanitization practices and following kitchen safety standards.
Determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment for staff.
