HOBAN Recruitment is seeking experienced allied health and clinical professionals for an exciting APS6 level Technical Advisor opportunity within a high-profile Federal Government organisation located inPARRAMATTA SYDNEY.
This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about using their specialist expertise to support complex decision-making, provide technical advice, and contribute to improved outcomes for people living with disability.
About the Role
As an APS6 level Technical Advisor, you will provide specialist technical and clinical advice on complex and sensitive matters, supporting quality decision-making and consistent outcomes.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and contributing to policy and operational improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing specialised technical and clinical advice on complex participant matters.
Using a coaching and mentoring approach to support colleagues and build capability.
Advising on appropriate supports to help achieve positive participant outcomes.
Managing sensitive discussions relating to funding and support approvals.
Liaising with stakeholders, providers, delegates and internal teams to ensure consistency in decision-making.
Preparing high-quality written advice, reports and case documentation.
Supporting complex problem-solving, policy interpretation and operational decision-making.
Contributing to strategic initiatives, projects and continuous improvement activities.
Competitive pay rate of$***** per hour at APS 6 Level, including casual loading, providing you with financial stability and recognition for your expertise.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold qualifications in one of the following disciplines:
Occupational Therapy
Prosthetics and Orthotics
Speech Pathology
Physiotherapy
Psychology
Registered Nursing (eligible for AHPRA registration)
Social Work
Mental Health Practitioner
Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner
Medico-Legal Allied Health
Audiology
You will also demonstrate:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Experience interpreting complex information and providing practical recommendations.
Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Coaching, mentoring or leadership capabilities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
Sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
Adaptability, resilience and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification in one of the specified disciplines.
Ability to obtain and maintain required pre-employment checks.
Willingness to undertake Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening requirements where applicable.
