As theSite Services Officeryou will:
Meet the daily requirements of the campus to ensure the site is presented in a clean and tidy state while providing a hygienic environment to students, staff and the general public.
This position reports to the Site Services Coordinator.
This is aTemporary,Full-Timeopportunity, for six (6) monthsunless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Nambour, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Undertaking activities associated with grounds maintenance, general cleaning and stores functions to provide an environment conducive to the achievement of quality services in a highly presentable form.
You will receive and action maintenance requests ensuring all requests are resolved quickly and thoroughly or escalated as required.
Ideally, you will have a facilities or handyman/general maintenance background with excellent communications skills, be customer focused,
a team player and physically capable to meet the demands of the position.
You will have a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
Model and actively promote an ethical and protected work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.
Actively participate as a member of the Infrastructure and Site Services team, including attendance and contribution at team meetings and assisting with any other relevant duties, as required.
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
How you will be assessed
Demonstrates ability to organise duties to minimise interruptions to classroom activities.
Demonstrates ability to work with minimum supervision and within a team.
Demonstrates good knowledge of all associated procedures, chemicals and equipment.
Demonstrates ability to manage daily tasks safely and in accordance with safety controls.
E.g. Risk assessments.
Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing setting.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Forklift Certificate and operation skills
A current Queensland Driver's Licence (motor vehicle)
Health and Safety Representative training
First Aid certificate
