The Role
Reporting to the Director, you'll be one of our senior tradespeople on the road, trusted to run your own jobs from start to handover.
Your work will span general plumbing maintenance, blocked drains and sewer work, hot water systems, gas fitting, drainage and pipe relining, with the occasional bathroom or kitchen renovation.
You'll represent SPP Maintenance Group in office and on the phone, so how you communicate matters just as much as how you work on the tools.
You'll be part of our on-call rotation, helping keep Sydney properties safe, functional and running smoothly around the clock.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering general maintenance plumbing eg: blocked drains, water leaks, gas leaks and roof leaks
Installing and replacing hot water systems
Carrying out gas plumbing repairs
Undertaking drainage works and pipe relining
Occasional bathroom and kitchen renovation work
Participating in the 24/7 emergency on-call rotation
Ongoing maintenance for shopping centres and large commercial buildings
Communicating clearly and professionally with clients on-site and over the phone, and identifying additional work opportunities where they exist
Managing your own jobs end to end,



including materials, timing and handover
What We're Looking For
A full plumbing licence (NSW Fair Trading) and solid maintenance experience across residential and commercial sites
Hold a valid driver's licence and have your own hand tools
You're well spoken and personable, someone who can hold a genuine conversation with a client and leave them feeling content and looked after
Confident, motivated, and self directed, able to run your own jobs without needing constant supervision
A positive attitude, reliable, punctual and professional in how you present yourself and your work
Commercially aware - you notice when a system needs replacing, not just patching, and you're comfortable communicating this to our clients
Available for emergency on-call rotation, and comfortable with the responsibility that comes with it
Sales experience, or a genuine interest in the sales side of maintenance work is highly desirable
Pipe relining experience or exposure to shopping centre / large commercial maintenance is a plus
