About the company/role:
Our client, a global environmental organisation, is currently seeking a Control Systems Project Engineer to join their team on the Gold Coast.
This is a long-term casual contract role with full-time hours each week.
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the initiation and delivery of projects across multiple sites, as well as managing change associated with project implementation.
Duties:
Plan and execute projects through the full project lifecycle
Assist with project scoping, planning, estimating, design input, procurement, and tender submissions where required
Deliver assigned projects within budget and agreed schedules, ensuring safe execution across all phases
Liaise with operations, maintenance, procurement, and asset management teams to ensure successful project initiation and delivery
Manage subcontractors and consultants to achieve project outcomes, including site supervision and technical oversight of engineering consultants




Ensure all project activities comply with relevant WHS, environmental, and site-specific requirements
Skills/experience:
A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial experience in control systems / systems integration.
Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in the Electrical area of practice, or eligibility to obtain RPEQ within an agreed timeframe.
Extensive project delivery experience in the water, mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries, with strong experience in SCADA and PLC project execution.
Working experience in control systems design, programming, configuration, and commissioning.
Solid working knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 (highly desirable).
Current driver's licence.
Ability to utilise relevant computer software applications (e.g. Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including MS Project desirable).
