Due to our continued growth, we are seeking organised, compassionate, and reliableMale Support Workersto join our team across ourSupported Independent Living (SIL)homes andCommunity Access Supports (CAS)in Rockhampton and surrounding suburbs.
This is a male-only position due to the inherent requirements of the role.
The successful applicants will provide supports to male participants where a male support worker is required to meet participant needs, preferences, and support arrangements.
This requirement is based on the inherent requirements of the role and the nature of the supports provided.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, your goal is to empower participants to develop independence, build meaningful relationships, strengthen community connections, and enhance their daily living skills while living safely and confidently within their community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide care and support with daily living activities.
Support participants to access the community and engage in social and recreational activities.
Assist with medication administration in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Complete accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reporting.
Implement and follow Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
Assist with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and general domestic duties.
Work afternoon, evening, overnight, sleepover, weekend, and public holiday shifts as part of a rotating roster.
Maintain qualified boundaries and uphold participant dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
About You
Calm and able to make sound decisions in challenging situations.
Emotionally mature, patient, and resilient.
Flexible and available to work afternoons, nights, weekends, public holidays, and mandatory sleepover shifts.
Honest, reliable, and professional.
Respectful, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Consistent in following behaviour support plans and organisational procedures.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, or an equivalent qualification (or currently studying).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Current National Police Check.
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Australian citizenship or valid rights to work in Australia.
