Role Overview
Based at ourOrmeau site, we are seeking a proactive and hands‐on OHS Advisor / Safety Administrator to support and strengthen our safety-first culture across the business.
Reporting to the Senior HSE Advisor, this role is responsible for providing practical safety advice, administering safety systems and processes, supporting injury management activities, monitoring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in workplace health and safety performance.
Working closely with leaders, managers, employees, and contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining effective safety management systems, supporting regulatory compliance,



and contributing to a positive and engaged safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong working relationships across the business to actively promote and reinforce a positive safety culture.
Monitor, investigate, and follow up safety incidents, hazards, near misses, and corrective actions through safety reporting systems.
Provide coaching, guidance, and practical support to managers and employees on workplace health and safety matters.
Develop, review, and maintain Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), procedures, and other safety documentation.
Assist with the design, implementation, communication, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures.
Conduct formal and informal workplace audits and inspections to verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Coordinate and monitor contractor safety compliance, including audit and review processes.
Maintain and continuously improve Safety Management Systems to ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation and industry requirements.
Monitor and maintain controls and standards relating to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations and compliance requirements.
Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed out.
Oversee workers' compensation claims, return-to-work programs,



and injury management processes in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Assist in the development and delivery of safety training, awareness programs, and toolbox talks.
Support the management and coordination of learning and development activities within the OHS function.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety, compliance, and operational performance.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an OHS/WHS role within manufacturing, construction, logistics, or a similar industry.
Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, and internal audits.
Experience and/or qualifications in incident investigation methodologies, such as ICAM.
Strong working knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and its practical application.
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and quality management systems.
Experience implementing and maintaining safety procedures, standards, and compliance frameworks.
Experience using Safety Management Systems, including cloud-based platforms such as SafetyCulture and Skytrust
Experience in injury management and Return-to-Work coordination, with current First Aid certification and strong Microsoft 365 skills.
