MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Must have completed at least 2 years (full time or part time equivalent) postgraduate experience in an Australia Public Hospital or equivalent (not as an Observer)
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised workplace with commitment to self- education and continuous professional development.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team.
Ability and willingness to work at the facilities within the Network to deliver patient care and preparedness and ability to participate in 24-hour shift work roster.
Ability to recognise the acutely unwell patient and to initiate immediate management and institute Basic Life Support.
Completion of ALS training, or willingness to complete in the first 3 months of appointment
Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
