Loader Operator / Excavator Operator- Sandstone Extraction
As part of the Dixon Quarry Group, Dixon Rock & Block specialises in the extraction and supply of premium sandstone materials.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Loader Operator / Excavator Operator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our Maroota quarry.
About the Role
The role is responsible for the secure and efficient operation of plant and equipment, with a primary focus on Loader Operations / Excavator operations for the extraction and processing of sandstone products.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrating and maintaining safe work practices in line with WHS requirements
Operating various plant and equipment, predominantly loaders and excavators
Performing routine inspections and minor maintenance (refuelling, lubrication, greasing, general upkeep)
Completing daily pre-start checks, logbooks and relevant documentation
Maintaining plant and equipment in a clean, reliable and protected condition
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
1–3 years’ experience operating loaders or excavators within quarrying, mining or civil environments
A sound understanding of WHS requirements and environmental awareness
Relevant Plant Licences and/or Verification of Competency (VOC)
The ability to operate multiple types of plant confidently and safely
Solid attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate plant and vehicle records
