Chef (Full -time) (Demi or Chef De Partie)
An exciting opportunity is now available for a passionate and talentedChef de Partie or Demi Chefto join our dynamic kitchen team atMercure Kooindah Waters Resort.
Reporting to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety across service periods, events, and outlets.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to a consistent standard
Working across multiple kitchen sections including grill, pans, larder and functions
Managing your section efficiently during service
Assisting with menu execution and contributing ideas for daily specials
Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
Supporting stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage
Ensuring all prep (mise en place) is completed to service requirements
Keeping all kitchen areas clean, organised, and compliant
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail
A genuine passion for food and presentation




Ability to work consistently under pressure while maintaining high standards
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A solid understanding of food safety standards
Flexibility to work across weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts
Current Australian work authorisation is essential for this position
