Knight Frank Town Planning is seeking a highly motivatedTown Plannerto join our dynamic team in Sydney.
This is afull-time positionbased in Sydney CBD with hybrid work from home arrangements.
The position assumes a background in planning in either the public or private sector in NSW and the ability to undertake a range of planning tasks and deliverables, with an emphasis on statutory planning.
This is an opportunity for an agile planner to learn from others in a practice committed to mentoring, guidance of staff and professional development across all aspects of town planning.
Key responsibilities
Conducting site analysis and opportunities to inform planning recommendations
Liaison with local councils, government agencies and stakeholders to progress planning applications
Analysing planning policy frameworks and providing expert advice to both internal and external clients
Drafting of town planning reports, development applications, modification applications and clause 4.6 variation statements
General project management capabilities including the consolidation of applications for lodgement and some coordination of consultants
Preparing presentations and attending meetings with clients and government representatives
Conducting research as part of ongoing career development and collaboration with the team
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning




1-3 years of experience in town planning in either the public or private sector NSW
Working knowledge and understanding of NSW planning legislation
Understanding of key planning principles and practices, with the ability and willingness to learn
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Effectively manage numerous projects, competing priorities and deadlines
To be self-motivated and able work both independently as well as be guided by your colleagues
