Duty Manager (Food, Beverage and Gaming)
Parkside Community & Services Club is the new home of the Coorparoo RSL & Community Club.
With the completion of the M$5 plus renovation of our premises opening late last year and overwhelming response from local patronage, we are happy to be growing our management team.
This is a full-time salaried position working 38 hours per week.
Parkside Community & Services Club is Greenslopes' premium entertainment venue.
Parkside offers a modern gaming lounge with 50 machines, a restaurant, café, bars & live entertainment.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of Duty Manager experience in gaming venues.

Gaming and Clearance/Banking experience
Bar and Restaurant experience
Current First Aid, RMLV qualification, and Approved Managers license.
Willingness to learn

Responsible and reliable
The Club is open from 10am - Midnight daily.
We are closed on Christmas Day & Good Friday.
This means that any applicant should have availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.

building rapport with our regulars and ensuring our service is the best in the area.
A day in the life of a Duty Manager:
Get to know the locals so well they think you're part of the crew
Support the General Manager to keep the club running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
Learn the ropes of being a Duty Manager while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries).
Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You've been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
You've learned from great managers and now you're ready to step up
You've got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the club when the boss is away
You've got a currentRSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licenceas per state requirements

MAIN DUTIES:
Manage the day-to-day club operations including opening and closing procedures
Manage Club team members on a daily basis to ensure high customer service standards and encourage a robust team culture




Delivering business results by achieving set KPI targets and objectives set by Senior Management
Ensuring compliance with licensing, gaming laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Handling customer complaints in a timely manner
Ensure all Club team members create customer service delivery that is timely, effective, and efficiently meets Club standards
Ensure that cash handling responsibilities are adhered to, all shift takings are recorded, and investigate variances and discrepancies as required
Communicate and implement policies and procedures to all employees to ensure operational and service standards are maintained, leading by example
SUCCESS FACTORS:
Current Responsible Management of Licensed Venue (RMLV) qualification
Demonstrated ability to manage the day to day operations of a Club venue including supervising and coordinating staff
Very high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated high level ability to effectively manage customer complaints and managing staff
Knowledge of food safety regulations and demonstrated ability to work with food safety standards
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Demonstrate an ability to work as a team player or autonomously to achieve results supported by initiative and self-motivation.
