Job Description
Full-Time Carpenter Position: Full-Time Carpenter Salary: $75,000 per year Location: 64 Victoria Rd, Drummoyne, NSW **** Work Locations: Primarily New South Wales, with occasional travel to Queensland projects.
Archewell Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team on a full time basis.
The successful applicant will work across a range of residential and commercial construction projects, undertaking structural and finishing carpentry works while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Study and interpret architectural drawings, engineering details and construction specifications.
Measure, mark and cut timber, plywood and other building materials using hand and power tools.
Construct, install, alter and repair structural timber frameworks, wall frames, floor systems and roof structures.
Install flooring systems, wall and ceiling linings, external cladding and other building components.
Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, staircases and other internal and external timber fixtures.
Construct and install formwork where required for concrete works.
Assemble and erect prefabricated building components.
Fit locks, door furniture and other hardware.
Ensure all carpentry works comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and project documentation.
Inspect completed work and carry out repairs, adjustments and defect rectification where required.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
Liaise with supervisors,



subcontractors and other trades to coordinate construction activities.
Estimate material quantities and assist with ordering materials.
Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
Travel to project sites throughout New South Wales and occasionally Queensland as required.

Requirements
At least two years of relevant post-qualification experience (or a minimum of three years' relevant experience where permitted).
Demonstrated experience in residential and commercial construction.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials and construction methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
White Card.
Current Australian Driver Licence (or ability to obtain one).
