Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support backend microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.Build REST/gRPC APIs, event-driven services, and integrations using Kafka, IBM MQ, and related technologies.
Develop scalable business logic, maintain PostgreSQL databases, and manage database migrations with Flyway or Liquibase.
Write automated tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure application performance, monitoring, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions and modernise legacy banking applications.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of backend development experience with Java ******+), Spring Boot, and microservices.
Robust experience with REST APIs, Kafka or IBM MQ, and event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD.
Experience with JUnit, Mockito, AWS/Azure, and modern software development practices.
Banking or Financial Services experience is preferred.
Exposure to Trade Finance, SWIFT messaging, Python, Temporal/Camunda, or Drools is a plus.
