Project Logistics Manager / Business Development Manager
A stable and growing Australian owned International Freight Forwarder and Logistics Services Provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Project Logistics Manager to head up and grow the Project Logistics and Break Bulk division of the business.
Role can be based out of one of the national offices (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA)
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy:Manage the project logistics division
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across in project logistics / break bulk freight
Approach existing leads and networks to grow the business
Build and maintain strategic relationships with clientele
Lead market analysis and competitive positioning to identify growth opportunities and market trends
Drive Procurement , Pricing and Operations Development:Create and Improve company's end-to-end logistics solution for project logistics and 3PL
Manage complex multimodal transport requirements including heavy lift, oversized cargo, and specialized equipment handling
Ensure compliance with Australian transport regulations, port requirements, port logistics, and project specifications
Commercial Excellence:Lead commercial procurement negotiations for project contracts and framework agreements
Develop competitive pricing strategies for project logistics services
Create innovative logistics solutions that reduce project timelines and costs
Drive revenue growth targets and margin optimization




Key Requirements
Essential Experience:Minimum 5+ years business development within freight forwarding: strategic selling in general cargo / project logistics / project delivery
Strong understanding of Australian transport regulations, heavy haulage , port operations, and logistics networks
Commercial experience with complex B2B contract negotiations and relationship management
Leadership & Commercial Skills:Proven ability to build and maintain a portfolio of high-level clients in Australia and offshore
Strong P&L; management and commercial acumen
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Strategic thinking with ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
Strong presentation and communication skills
