Renting is changing.
So are the teams behind it.
At Nation, we create professionally managed rental neighbourhoods that make home feel easier, more connected and more considered.
From responsive service and shared amenity to resident events, local retail and day-to-day support, we're building a different kind of rental experience, one designed around how people actually live.
We're looking for a Leasing Executive to help introduce prospective residents to that experience and guide them through the journey from first enquiry to move-in.
About the role
We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Executive to support our growing portfolio of Build-to-Rent communities in St Peters and Ashfield.
As one of the first points of contact for prospective residents, you'll play an important role in shaping their experience of Nation.
You'll respond to enquiries, understand what each person is looking for, conduct tailored property tours and help match them with the apartment and community that best suit their needs.
You'll combine strong sales capability with a thoughtful, service-led approach, guiding prospective residents through applications, lease execution and move-in.
You'll also work with the wider Nation team to support occupancy, resident retention and partnerships that connect more people with our communities.
This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering results and making an important life decision feel straightforward and personal.
What you'll be doing
You'll support leasing activity across Nation's communities, including:
Managing prospective resident enquiries across phone, online and in-person channels
Conducting tailored property tours that showcase Nation's apartments, amenity, services and neighbourhood experience
Understanding each prospect's needs and matching them with the most suitable apartment
Following up enquiries and proactively converting leads into applications and leases
Negotiating lease terms within approved parameters
Reviewing and assessing rental applications
Completing due diligence, including income verification, rental history checks and reference validation
Facilitating lease execution and making sure agreements meet legislative and internal governance requirements
Maintaining accurate prospect and leasing records across CRM and property management systems
Working with the broader team to achieve leasing targets and occupancy goals
Supporting tenancy processes, notices and tribunal matters where required
Acting as a key point of contact between residents, internal stakeholders and external partners
Responding to resident enquiries, feedback and complaints with care, clarity and professionalism
Working with the Resident Services team to deliver a consistent, high-quality resident experience
Maintaining accurate records across property management systems and reporting tools
Supporting resident communications, community programming and events where required
Ensuring all work is undertaken in line with workplace health, safety, environmental and quality guidelines
Supporting compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant residential tenancy requirements
You'll also help strengthen the relationships that support long‐term demand by:
Building connections with corporate, relocation and local business partners
Supporting targeted referral pathways and B2B leasing initiatives
Maintaining partner relationships to encourage consistent, qualified referrals
Working with Resident Services to support renewals and resident retention
Building positive relationships with residents throughout their tenancy
Monitoring upcoming lease expiries and contributing to renewal campaigns
Identifying opportunities to improve the resident experience and reduce avoidable turnover
Supporting resident services, community programming and operational activities where required
Ensuring all work is undertaken in line with workplace health, safety, environmental and quality guidelines
Supporting compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant residential tenancy requirements
What you'll bring
You understand that leasing a home is about more than completing a transaction.
It's about listening carefully, building trust and helping someone feel confident about where they'll live.
You'll bring:
Experience in residential leasing, real estate,
property sales, hospitality or a similar customer-facing sales role
A Certificate of Registration
Strong commercial awareness and a demonstrated ability to convert enquiries into outcomes
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
Clear, confident and personable communication
Strong attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confidence handling applications, documentation and compliance requirements
Strong organisation and follow-through
Experience using CRM and property management systems
A proactive, team-oriented and team-oriented approach
A genuine interest in resident experience, community and the future of rental living
A tertiary qualification in property, sales, hospitality or a related field would be well regarded but is not essential.
How you'll work with the team
You'll report directly to the Head of Leasing and work closely with the teams that bring Nation communities to life, including resident services, property management, marketing, operations and our on-site teams.
You'll help connect the promise we make during the leasing journey with the experience residents have once they move in, making sure every interaction feels informed, responsive and distinctly Nation.
Why join Nation?
Renting is changing and Nation is helping shape what comes next.
We believe professionally managed rental communities can offer more certainty, better service and a stronger sense of connection for residents.
That starts well before someone moves in, with a leasing experience that feels personal, transparent and easy to navigate.
You'll join Nation at an important stage of growth, supporting established communities and helping welcome residents into new neighbourhoods as they open.
That means the role offers both day-to-day impact and the opportunity to help shape how a growing rental platform approaches leasing, service and long-term resident relationships.
What we offer
Some of the benefits we offer include:
Professional development opportunities
EAP support
Birthday leave after one year
Team events and connection moments
The opportunity to be part of a growing build-to-rent platform
A role where resident experience, operations and community genuinely come together
