About the Role
As ourWorkshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the workshop while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
You'll lead by example, supporting your team technically while ensuring the workshop operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Leading and coordinating all workshop operations
Planning workflow and allocating jobs to maximise productivity
Supporting technicians with diagnostics and complex repairs
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control
Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and apprentices
Managing workshop performance, labour efficiency, and utilisation
Building strong customer relationships and communicating repair progress
Reviewing repair orders and ensuring documentation is accurate
Working closely with the Parts Interpreter to ensure parts availability
Maintaining workshop equipment, tooling, and facilities
Driving continuous improvement initiatives
Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture and WH&S; compliance
Skills & Experience
You'll be someone who enjoys leading,
takes pride in delivering quality work and ideally have:
Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent Australian recognised qualification)
Strong experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, agricultural, earthmoving, construction, or mining equipment
Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Robust organisational and planning abilities
Experience using workshop management systems and diagnostic equipment
Current Australian Driver Licence
Forklift Licence, ARCtick or other relevant industry licences (advantageous)
