Advanced Automotive Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our growing team in Cairns, QLD.

As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our valued customers.
You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all work meets our exacting standards of safety and excellence.

Key responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
Perform routine and complex vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake servicing
Repair and replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and quality assurance checks on completed work
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and labour hours for each service
Follow health and safety protocols and ensure workshop cleanliness and organisation
Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle condition, repair requirements, and cost estimates
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet customer deadlines and service schedules
Keep up to date with manufacturer service bulletins, recalls, and technical updates
What we're looking for
A recognised automotive trade qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating competency in vehicle repair and maintenance
Proven experience as a Mechanic in a qualified automotive service environment




Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based vehicle systems
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in automotive workshops
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current driving licence is essential
A valid RSA (Roadworthy Safety Assessment) certificate or willingness to obtain one
