About the Role
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver engaging lifestyle and recreational activities that support residents' physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual wellbeing.
You'll encourage participation, promote independence,
and ensure every resident receives meaningful experiences tailored to their individual interests, abilities and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliverperson-centred lifestyle and wellbeing programsthat enhance residents' quality of life.
Facilitateengaging individual and group activitiesthat promote independence and social connection.
Monitor, document and evaluateresident participation and outcomes.
Build robust relationships withresidents, families and the multidisciplinary care team.
Collaborate with staff todeliver holistic, resident-centred care.
Identify and reportrisks, incidents and safety concerns.
Contribute to thecontinuous improvementof lifestyle programs and resident experiences.
Supportspecial events, cultural celebrations and community engagementactivities.
About You
You're passionate about improving the lives of older people and bring energy, creativity and compassion to everything you do.
You thrive in a team environment, enjoy building meaningful relationships, and are committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care.
To be successful, you'll have:
Qualifications inLeisure & Health, Diversional Therapy, Lifestyle & Leisure, Activity Worker, or another relevant health-related discipline.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing),Aged Care, or a higher relevant qualification.
Experience working withinAged Care, Community Care or Disability Support (highly regarded).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Additional qualifications in complementary therapies such asmassage, aromatherapy, music, art or other therapeutic activitieswill be highly regarded.
