Quantum Building Industries is a Queensland-based construction company specialising in hail restoration, storm damage, roof replacements, and insurance building repairs across South East Queensland, servicing areas from the Gold Coast through to Maryborough.

About the Role
As Quantum's Roofing Supervisor, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and developing our new roofing department.
You will oversee roofing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring materials are ordered correctly, roofing crews are coordinated effectively, quality standards are maintained, and projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
A key part of the role will be building strong, long-term relationships with roofing subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal project teams.
You will also assist in developing the systems, procedures, quality controls, and performance standards required to support the department as it grows.
This role provides a high level of autonomy and is suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, building teams, and creating efficient roofing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead Quantum's new roofing department
Develop roofing procedures, systems, quality standards, and operational processes
Supervise residential and commercial roof replacement projects from commencement through to completion
Conduct pre-start inspections, progress inspections, and final quality-control inspections
Review roofing scopes, plans, measurements, material requirements, and project specifications
Coordinate roofing crews, subcontractors,



suppliers, deliveries, and installation schedules
Accurately order roofing materials, flashings, insulation, battens, fixings, and associated components
Confirm material quantities and specifications before orders are placed
Build and maintain strong relationships with roofing suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractor crews
Recruit, onboard, support, and manage a reliable network of roofing crews
Monitor roofing crew performance, workmanship, communication, safety, and completion timeframes
Ensure roofing works comply with manufacturer requirements, Australian Standards, QBCC requirements, WHS obligations, and relevant legislation
Identify and resolve roofing defects, installation issues, material shortages, and site complications
Manage roofing variations, additional works, and unforeseen site conditions
Provide technical roofing advice and support to Project Managers, Estimators, and operational staff
Maintain clear communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Ensure all project documentation, inspection records, photographs, purchase orders, and completion documents are accurately maintained
Assist with negotiating supplier pricing, trade rates, and purchasing arrangements
Monitor department performance, project costs, material wastage, defects, and roofing crew capacity
Drive continuous improvement across roofing quality, safety, scheduling, procurement, and profitability
