Description
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
End-to-end processing of monthly and fortnightly payrolls
Interpretation and application of relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
Processing employee commencements, terminations and payroll changes
Management of leave, superannuation and payroll deductions
Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders
Payroll reconciliations and reporting activities
Ensuring payroll compliance with Fair Work,



taxation and legislative requirements
Assisting with payroll projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Profile
The successful Payroll Officer should have:
Previous experience in a Payroll Officer role, ideally within a large or complex organisation
Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
Experience working with high-volume payroll processing
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Exposure to payroll systems, ideally Preceda
