Registered Nurse (Fixed Term Full-Time Contract - 6 months) - Active Overnights
Nurse Next Door Penrith is looking for dynamic, energetic and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our growing community care team.
These are fixed-term, full-time positions that work active overnight shifts and sometimes other shifts as well.
You will provide high-quality clinical care to clients while also supporting, guiding and mentoring our passionate care team.

Our services range from 24-hour complex care to shorter nursing visits for wound care, catheter care, continence support, diabetes management and other clinical needs.
Key Locations:
Kemps Creek - Our key client is based in this Suburb.
We also have clients in Penrith, Emu Plains, Jamisontown, South Penrith, Werrington County, Kingswood, Glenmore Park, Mulgoa, Jordan Springs, Caddens, Shane Park, Werrington, Erskine Park, St Clair, Kempscreek and surrounding suburbs.
Positions Available
Registered Nurse.
Community Aged Care and Disability
Applicants must be available to work active overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
Deliver a premium care experience that is genuine, compassionate and personalised.
Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with each client's individual care plan.
Complete comprehensive health assessments, clinical reviews and ongoing monitoring.
Provide wound care management, catheter care, continence support, medication management and diabetes care.




Identify changes in a client's condition and elevate concerns appropriately.
Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, case managers, family members and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Support and mentor Caregivers and Enrolled Nurses in delivering safe and consistent care.
Meet each client's safety needs and ensure equipment is used correctly.
Complete progress notes, clinical records and other documentation accurately and on time.
Follow Nurse Next Door policies, clinical procedures and relevant aged care and disability standards.
Why we'll love you
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, AHPRA.
Relevant nursing experience in community care, aged care, disability support or a similar healthcare environment.
Availability to work a rotating roster, including active overnight shifts.
Experience in wound care, catheterisation, continence care, medication management, diabetes management and manual handling.
Robust clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
The confidence to work independently in clients' homes.
The ability to guide, support and mentor members of the care team.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.




Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The flexibility to respond calmly and professionally to last-minute changes or clinical challenges.
Confidence using technology, digital care systems and mobile applications.
A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of older people and people living with disability.
A current driver's licence, reliable vehicle and relevant employment screening checks will also be required.
