Safety & Training Administration Assistant

The Role
MSF Sugar is seeking a detail-oriented and hardworkingSafety & Training Administration Assistantto join our team on afull-time, permanent basis(part-time, permanent or casual for the right person).
This exciting opportunity is based at ourMulgrave Central Mill, located approximately 20 minutes from Cairns.
This position will be responsible for working collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results in relation to overall safety objectives.
This position will also be responsible for safety and training activities as a team member, facilitating safety and training meetings and committees, and coordinating risk assessments and safety administration duties.
Key Responsibilities
Toolbox Talks, assist in scheduling, creating Safety PowerPoint presentations, diarise meetings
Maintain Safety Management System & Database (STEMS)
Provide administration support to the Mulgrave Central Mill's Safety Coordinator & Group Safety Coordinators
Compile & analyse safety reports & statistics for both Mulgrave Central Mill & Group Safety
Compile end of month reports
Assist with Drug & Alcohol testing
Preferred WorkCover experience with preference to those with RRTW qualifications or willing to obtain
Experience in developing Suitable Duties Plans, able to liaise with relevant parties to maintain appropriate records, confidentiality,
and assist with the return to work process.
Maintain the Safety Policy & Procedure system together with Document Control
Intranet uploads of safety documents
Knowledge of legislative requirements for training including but not limited to High Risk Work Licence refresher training, maintaining training records, organising onsite & external training.
Perform other duties that may be defined by the Safety & Environment Coordinator, Site Manager, or Group Safety Manager as required.
About You
Previous experience working in a similar working environment
Experience in auditing and analysing large amounts of information
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Attention to detail and accuracy in relation to record keeping
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly developed time management skills with the ability to prioritise daily tasks and adapt to changing business needs at short notice
A self-starter who can work autonomously as well as part of a team
Return to Work Coordinator Qualification or willingness to obtain
Prior experience or knowledge of safety management systems (advantageous)
Current Open 'C' Class Driver's Licence
