ABOUT OUR HEALTHCARE TEAM
Our multidisciplinary healthcare team delivers high-quality primary healthcare services to some of Sydney's most vulnerable communities through our fully equipped medical clinics in Ashfield and Blacktown.
Working alongside General Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers, Allied Health Professionals and Alcohol & Other Drug ('AOD') specialists, you will play a vital role in providing holistic, person-centred care to people who may otherwise struggle to access healthcare services.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse ('RN') to join our growing healthcare team on either a full-time or part time basis (minimum three days per week).
This is not a hospital ward role.
It is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary environment and provide healthcare that genuinely changes lives.
You will utilise your clinical expertise across a broad range of primary healthcare services while supporting patients who often present with complex health and social needs.
This position is available immediately on a casual basis.
Flexibility may be considered to suit the successful candidate following a 3-month performance and operational review.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct patient triage and nursing assessments
Deliver vaccinations, wound care and phlebotomy services
Assist with minor procedures and treatment plans
Support chronic disease management and preventative healthcare initiatives
Undertake mental health screening and assessments within scope of practice
Coordinate recalls, reminders and patient follow‐up activities
Maintain infection prevention and control standards




Support accreditation and clinical governance requirements
Participate in outreach activities when required
Collaborate closely with General Practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering accessible healthcare and building trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
You will have:
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum three years' post-registration nursing experience
Experience in general practice, community health, primary healthcare, emergency nursing, mental health, drug and alcohol, correctional health or other relevant clinical settings
Strong clinical assessment and decision‐making skills
Experience with vaccinations, wound management and chronic disease management
Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and harm minimisation principles
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Current BLS certification
Up-to-date immunisation record and continuing professional development requirements
HIGHLY REGARDED
Experience working with:
People experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity
Mental health presentations
Alcohol and other drug ('AOD') presentations
Refugees and newly arrived communities
Vulnerable and socially isolated populations
Best Practice, Helix or similar clinical software
