About the Company & Role:

Our client is one of Australia’s Leading Waste Management Companies, known for their commitment to sustainability and environmental innovation. They are currently seeking a Chemist to join their team in a full-time ongoing role, with solid potential to become permanent! Unique opportunity for individuals with a Science or Engineering Background to gain valuable, hands-on experience in an Industrial Chemistry Setting.

Duties:
Test chemicals to determine their composition and flammability
Organize and unpack chemical waste
Sort chemicals into their classes
Decant and dispose chemical waste
Package chemical waste for destruction
Wear PPE (full-face respirators, chemical suits, face shields, etc.)

Key Considerations:




Role is based within a Warehouse (not lab based)
Manual Handling is required

Skills & Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering
Knowledge of secure chemical handling
Previous warehouse experience - highly regarded
Ability to lift up to 25kg
Can-do attitude, enthusiastic to work
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
