Front Office & Operations Support Officer

Carpentaria Marine is seeking a full-time Front Office / Operations Support office to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Regional Manager in a fast-paced workplace, providing frontline officer duties and essential operational support. The position requires solid organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workloads, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a positive, professional attitude. We are seeking a long-term applicant who is motivated to contribute to the ongoing success and smooth operation of our business.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Reception duties; answering calls and meeting visitors
Raise quotes and jobcards
Arrange Travel & Accommodation
Vessel stores and purchasing
Posting Advertisements for recruiting
Assist with Onboarding of Recent Employees
Maintain Employee training matrix
Maintain PPE and uniform stock for Cairns
Receive incoming freight
Process EFT transactions




Receive and process supplier bills
Collect orders and supplies as required
Receive incoming freight
Other ad hoc admin tasks as directed

Skills & Experience

Experience
Exposure to a small fast pace office environment would be advantageous
Transport and Logistics knowledge preferably in the marine industry

Skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to prioritise conflicting work demands
High Level Organisational and Time management capability

Performance Goals
Complete administration tasks on time and accurately to avoid rework
Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
