We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedBonded Warehouse Manager/Team leaderto oversee the daily operations of our bonded warehouse facility.
In this role, you will ensure the secure and compliant storage, handling, and distribution of goods under customs control.
You'll lead the warehouse team to deliver operational efficiency, accuracy, and high levels of customer satisfaction while upholding all customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Bonded Warehouse Operations
Supervise daily inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound operations within the Section 77G Bonded Warehouse.
Ensure all bonded cargo is accurately receipted, stored and released using the Warehouse Management System
Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations and inventory audits.
Optimise warehouse layout, storage locations and operational workflows to maximise efficiency and productivity.
Customs & Biosecurity Compliance
Ensure compliance with all Australian Border Force (ABF) requirements relating to Section 77G Bonded Warehouse operations and Approved Arrangement (AA) licence conditions.
Act as the responsible person for the day-to-day operation of the bonded warehouse, ensuring inventory integrity, security and compliance with all licence obligations.
Maintain accurate inventory and cargo movement records for all bonded goods.
Support Customs Brokers in processing Self-Assessed Clearance (SAC) consignments and other import clearance requirements.
Coordinate with Australian Border Force (ABF), the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), Customs Brokers and regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with internal SOPs.
Lead, supervise, train and mentor warehouse staff to achieve operational and compliance objectives.
Allocate daily workloads and monitor team productivity.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.

Safety & Security
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
Maintain bonded warehouse security, including access control, CCTV monitoring and cargo security requirements.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure all warehouse equipment inspections and safety checks are completed.
Coordinate emergency response procedures and workplace safety initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications Essential
Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in warehouse operations, freight forwarding or logistics.
Demonstrated experience working within an Australian Border Force (ABF) Section 77G Bonded Warehouse, Customs Controlled Warehouse or similar regulated logistics environment.
Sound understanding of Approved Arrangement (AA) operational requirements and Customs compliance procedures.
Experience coordinating with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders and Transport Providers.
Experience in import cargo handling, bonded inventory control and warehouse operations.
Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
High attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Preferred
Experience in cross-border eCommerce logistics operations (e.g. Temu, SHEIN, Amazon)
Familiarity with Self-Assessed Clearance (SAC) consignments and Australian import clearance processes.
Forklift Licence (LF).
Mandarin language skills are highly desirable to support communication with overseas customers and suppliers.
